Acute medical decision

One Pulmonary embolism is treated in a risk-adapted manner. Catheter therapy is only useful in selected situations and is decided in an interdisciplinary team.

Risks and jurisdiction

Bleeding, vascular injury and circulatory complications are possible. Acute shortness of breath or coughing up blood requires immediate emergency assessment.
